Scott Marshall is the main choreographer for Diverse. He has a handful of amazing reliable assistants that will look after events as due to the popularity of our shows we often have multiple bookings.
Scott began his training at the Dance School of Scotland and went on to gain a musical theatre diploma at the prestigious Laine Theatre Arts College, London. Once graduated Scott toured the world on stage and screen dancing with superstars Cher, Pink, Kylie Minogue, Girls Aloud, Sugababes and legends Michael Buble, Dame Shirley Basey, and Cliff Richard on tours and TV programs – American Music Awards and the Royal Variety Performance, and even graced the big screen dancing in Kevin Spacey’s hit movie “Beyond the Sea’.
When Scott lived in the UK he started his choreography career working for
P & O cruise lines putting on theatre shows for a variety of their fleets and choreographed the biggest Christmas production in the UK, ‘Thursford Christmas spectacular’ for 2 consecutive years working with 20 dancers, 50 singers and a 40 piece live orchestra
Over the years, Scott has choreographed a number of large-scale events in the Gulf region since setting up his company ‘Diverse Choreography’ in 2008. He has choreographed Flash-mobs for Du, Grosvenor House and the Award Winning Dubai Airport flash mob with 3.5 million hits on YouTube. Choreographer for the most prestigious event of the year, Dubai World Cup Opening and Closing Ceremony 2014 with over 600 performers booked through Diverse, we also choreographed the most recent Opening Ceremony for Dubai World Cup 2016 both at Meydan racecourse. Also at Meydan we choreographed 200 of our performers for the Chinese New Year Opening and Closing ceremony 2014. Not to forget choreography and performers for the grand opening of Yas Mall, Abu Dhabi and Beirut City Centre.
Scott has provided dancers, bespoke choreography and singers for a great many gala dinners – 3 Oil Barons Balls, most recently his performers took to the stage alongside Diva, Heather Small of M People. Scott and the Diverse team, were involved in the launch of the QE2 with the legendary Gypsy Kings, a spectacular Moulin Rouge and Great Gatsby Gatsby NYE shows at the Burj Al Arab in 2013 and 2015, ADIPEC award ceremonies choreographing our dance team with musical quartet Bond and the VVIP, Dubai World Cup Gala Dinner in front of a glittering audience, among whom were some of the UAE Royal family.
He has choreographed a variety of live shows for F1 Grand Prix in Abu Dhabi for 7 consecutive years, as well as numerous corporate events for a variety of clients, car and product launches for Toyota, Hyundai, Audi, Philips and Panasonic, and not forgetting a number of edgy and vibrant fashion shows for Harvey Nichols, Bloomingdales, Saks 5th Avenue, Nike, BEBE to name just a few.
Scott was the resident choreographer for the VIVA dinner show at Pacha Ibiza Dubai, which has recently been voted Dubai’s No 1 Dinner Show of 2015 and the new arabic fusion dinner show ‘Ziya’ at Pacha, Dubai. More recently, Scott’s Diverse choreographic styles are on display at ‘RED’ the aerial and spectacular dance show at Ferrari World, Abu Dhabi.
Coming from a big theatre background having appeared in musicals such as ‘Saturday Night Fever’, Scott has revisited his theatre roots, choreographing productions of Disney’s ‘HSM2’ at the DUCTAC Theatre, ‘Fame’, Roger and Hammerstein’s ‘Sound of Music’, Lional Barts ‘Oliver’ and Disney’s ‘Camp Rock’ all at the Madinat theatre for popular productions. At the Madinat Theatre he choreographed productions of ‘Alice in Wonderland’ and award winning ‘Kalubela’ at the Madinat Theatre. Additionally Scott alongside his wife Lisa, have produced 7 successful productions at the Madinat Theatre with ‘Step in Time’ gaining the Timeout kids award gong for ‘Best local theatrical production’.
TV choreographic credits include commercials for Toyota Rav 4, Etisilat, Dano and Tang including TV shows MTV’s ‘My Super Sweet’ and Tap show for ‘Dubai 1’.
More recently bringing the big screen to the corporate world with the new trend of Interactive screen shows for the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Zayed Sports awards 2014 and 2016, Tecom Screen and table animation show for Media City, Studio City and Production City rebrand launch, Philips screen show and the resident 2 year 3D animation show ‘VIVA’ at Ferrari World Abu Dhabi.
